The veteran exec joins the indie as chief creative officer, following the TX of Remedy shows including BBC1 gameshow Ready Or Not and Channel 4Dispatches How To Get A Pay Rise.

O’Connor’s focus will be on managing existing shows and developing new ideas with a focus on live events and talent-focused entertainment formats.

He has previously worked with the likes of Davina McCall, Emma Willis and Dermot O’Leary during his time as creative director of Big Brother-producer Initial.

He joined Buccaneer in October 2015, rising to become head of department, before exiting the Marcella firm in 2017.
